The last decade has seen an increased focus on approaches to the management of tuberculosis in the specific population of children and adolescents. New therapeutic protocols, specific screening algorithms and the development of a vaccine targeting adolescents have all been implemented in recent years. In this context, implementation research plays an important role in the optimal use of the various tools.
