Module 3 of the Scientific Research Training Series: Strengthening Data Analysis Skills for TB Control

The WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), in collaboration with WARN/CARN-TB and with the support of L’Initiative – Expertise France, is pleased to announce Module 3 of its capacity-building programme designed to strengthen scientific research skills among professionals involved in the fight against tuberculosis (TB).

Following the successful implementation of Module 2 in March 2025, this training series continues to support TB programme staff, researchers, and health professionals through a practical learning-by-doing approach. The initiative aims to enhance participants’ ability to generate, analyze, and use scientific evidence to improve tuberculosis control strategies and health outcomes.

Module 3, scheduled from March 2 to 6, 2026, will focus on data analysis, a critical component of operational and clinical research. Participants will develop practical skills to manage, interpret, and translate data into meaningful evidence that can inform policy decisions, strengthen TB programmes, and improve public health interventions.

The training will be conducted fully online and delivered in both French and English, ensuring broad accessibility for participants across the region.

By equipping professionals with essential research competencies, this training series contributes to strengthening regional scientific capacity and fostering evidence-based approaches in the fight against tuberculosis. It also promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation among stakeholders committed to advancing TB research and programme performance.

Through initiatives like this, partners continue to invest in sustainable capacity building and support collective efforts toward ending tuberculosis.
