Social Protection for TB patients<\/h3><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Le premier pilier de la strat\u00e9gie de l'OMS pour mettre fin \u00e0 la tuberculose (TB) appelle \u00e0 des soins et \u00e0 une pr\u00e9vention de la TB int\u00e9gr\u00e9s et centr\u00e9s sur le patient. L'objectif de cette recommandation est d'encourager les personnes impliqu\u00e9es dans la lutte contre la tuberculose \u00e0 \u00e9tendre leurs efforts au-del\u00e0 de la maladie elle-m\u00eame et \u00e0 prendre en charge le patient tuberculeux dans son ensemble. En d'autres termes, il s'agit d'adopter une approche holistique qui va au-del\u00e0 du traitement m\u00e9dicamenteux, en prenant \u00e9galement en consid\u00e9ration les diff\u00e9rents d\u00e9terminants qui sous-tendent la maladie. Dans cet esprit, les mesures de protection sociale jouent un r\u00f4le important dans la lutte contre la tuberculose car, par le biais de mesures sensibles et sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 la tuberculose, elles contribuent \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la pauvret\u00e9, la malnutrition et d'autres obstacles rencontr\u00e9s par les patients tuberculeux dans le cadre de leur prise en charge. Afin de redynamiser cette composante en Afrique de l'Ouest et du Centre, l'OMS\/TDR apporte un appui technique et financier \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre d'\u00e9tudes de recherche op\u00e9rationnelle sur les diff\u00e9rentes mesures de protection sociale des patients tuberculeux dans les diff\u00e9rents Programmes Nationaux de Lutte contre la Tuberculose (PNT) de la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>
